Ask anybody into MMA what the top fighter-producing gym is, and they’ll tell you it is Jackson Wink. While
there are a few MMA gyms scattered throughout the world, none of them has pumped out icons quite like
this Albuquerque-based gym has. Jackson Wink has a huge grasp on UFC, where (ideally) the gym never
has their fighters pitted against one another, although this has occasionally happened, causing serious
issues. But that’s a story for another day.

For now, let’s mention many of the MMA icons who have trained at the gym. This isn’t a complete list (we’d
be here all day), just some of the highlights. And if you’re into sports betting and trying to figure out how to
make the most of your free bets, this is where things get interesting. MMA, especially UFC, has become one
of the most exciting markets in online sports betting, thanks to its unpredictability and passionate fanbase.

Top sportsbooks often offer free bets around major fight nights, giving punters a chance to back fighters –
like those who’ve trained at Jackson Wink – without risking their own cash. With so many high-profile names
coming out of this gym, placing a free wager on a Jackson Wink alum might just turn out to be a solid
strategy if you know your fighters well.

Andrei Arlovski
What a name to start with, right? Former heavyweight title holder Andrei Arlovski holds the record for the
most wins in the division, sitting at 23. While he fought his last fight in the UFC back in 2024, there are
mutterings that he could be heading to another MMA competition, although he hasn’t had much luck so far.
Still, when he does appear elsewhere, we can guarantee he will put on the fight of his life, even if he is
knocking on a bit and isn’t quite the fighter he used to be. But, let’s be honest, you wouldn’t be either, if you
had been doing this for a few decades.

B.J. Penn
Holding both the lightweight and welterweight titles throughout this career, B.J. Penn was only the second
person in UFC history to win a title in two different weight classes. We suppose this is a testament to the
quality of the training that Jackson Wink pumps out. We don’t expect him to be coming back to the octagon
any time soon, though. He is a wanted fugitive for some rather unpleasant domestic abuse charges.

Carlos Condit
‘The Natural Born Killer’ held the welterweight championship in the UFC and dealt with many other
promotions across the world, with Japan being his go-to place as of late. He has a knack for finishing fights
early, with his first professional bout resulting in a submission in under one minute. Almost all his early fights
were like that. Whenever we saw Carlos Condit on the card for an MMA bout and there were some free bet
offers available at our favorite online sportsbooks, we would bet on him. It was a good use of our money
(mostly).

Frank Mir
A former UFC heavyweight champion, we’ve got another record holder here. Frank Mir holds the record for
the most submission victories in the division. As you know, this is quite a feat – it isn’t easy to get those
rather large lads to submit. He was also one of the longest-serving UFC fighters (with an uninterrupted
tenure) for a good while, from 2001 to 2016. While he is no longer in the UFC, he is competing on various
circuits, including professional boxing. Well, he tried. His first bout didn’t go too well and he had to pull out.
Still, he is a legend in MMA and always will be.

Georges St-Pierre

Jackson Wink must be proud of this man. Georges St-Pierre is regarded as the best fighter in MMA history.
While he is no longer competing, he was regarded as the best fighter in the world for a while. He was also
one of only a few competitors to pick up titles in two different weight classes, managing to score himself wins
in both the welterweight and the middleweight divisions. He holds multiple records in UFC, including one of
the longest combined title streaks in history (well over 2,000 days) and multiple title defenses in that time.
Nine, to be exact. He probably could have gone on a bit longer too, if it weren’t for medical issues. Just a
short while after he won the middleweight title, he gave it all up. He relinquished the title, and that was it for
him as a professional fighter. You can, however, still catch him around MMA events.

Holly Holm
Holly Holm is a beast in the ring. She has multiple titles to her name, and she was fantastic at defending
them too. Her skills certainly come from boxing, where it is said that she is the second-best female boxer in
the world. While she is no longer competing in UFC, she does do a few professional boxing bouts now and
then, and she is waiting for a new promotion to grab her so she can put her skills to the test once more.
According to Holly, you won’t be catching her quitting any time soon.

Jon Jones
Jon Jones no longer trains at the gym. He was banned due to proven domestic violence charges. Still, at the
time of writing, he is the current UFC Heavyweight Champion and a recognized ‘superfighter’. This was all
thanks to the intense training he underwent at Jackson Wink, proving once again that the gym can pump out
some proper icons (as long as you only see him as an icon in the ring, not for anything else).

Rashad Evans
Finally, we have UFC Hall of Famer Rashad Evans. His main claim to fame is grabbing the UFC Light
Heavyweight Championship, but he has always been a huge personality for the company. Even now, he is
hanging around on the broadcast team as a desk analyst. Later on, in 2025, he is also slated to give boxing
a try, although we can’t possibly predict how that is going to go. Rashad Evans has been out of the
professional fight scene for a while (although, no doubt training at various gyms) but if he competes as well
as he did in the UFC, he might manage to dominate Quinton Jackson in the ring.
